Day 10

Today was a cold day. Myself and Graham went for a day out in town (Newcastle)

I had decied that today was going to be PANORMIC DAY, and where best to go to celebrate PANORAMIC DAY than THE QUAYSIDE!!!

I know what you're thinking, it all sounds too perfect. Nope! haha. It is a very obvious subject to choose, but it was just to test, I also decided since it was only 3:30pm when I took this photo, to wait around another 30 minutes to get a nice night shot of the quayside (exhibits 2 and 3)

Afterwards I had a gig to put on, where I was hoping that my dream I had this morning of Pamela Anderson coming to the gig and asking me to take some studio photos of her would take place...

It didn't! Bad times.

Peace!

Day 9

Tonight was amazing. Second big band gig I have ever shot, and It was Biffy Clyro, of all shows to get a pass for, a sold out Academy one show. A little bit daunting, but a massive privilege to have been able to cover it. Especially as one of my favourite bands (Manchester Orchestra) were main supporting.

The lighting was very standard for both 'Pulled Apart by Horses' and 'Manchester Orchesra' However, Biffy Clyro had so many flashing strobes which made it a bit tricky. I am relatively pleased with what I came home with, especially as I'm still very new to this field.

I also used my Newest Nikon 80-200 f2.8 lens, a very nice lens indeed.

Day 8

Tonight was my first time shooting a "big" show. It was Fightstar at Newcastle Uni. I was so excited to get to take photos at this show (even if it was only first 3 songs, no flash)

I have to be up for work in the morning, so haven't had any time to edit photos.

Here are a couple (very minimal editing done)

More to follow on flickr.

Day 7

I have been doing a lot of shoots with Mike recently some which I have not posted in here yet, as I am awaiting the final product of this little project that I am working on with Mike at the moment.

However, here is another studio shot I did quickly with him at my work before we went out for some drinks..

Day 6

Today I took a photo of Jack whilst at work. Maybe I should get my own studio lighting so I can stop using this white backdrop all of the time.. That'd be nice!

Day 5

Today Was The Cluny show where playing was 'The Chapman Family' a band that I have played with in the past. They seem to be making quite a name for themselves these days, with their crazy on stage antics, smashing guitars and having a bassist (pictured) who goes quite bazerk on stage!

Also supporting 'The Chapman Family' was good friends 'The Mephisto Club' so here's just a couple of theirs too

Day 4

Another Saturday, Another long working day. Doing 9am til 5pm at Bonsers, the camera shop. A (dreaded) hour break, then working 6pm til 11pm with my good friend Jack putting on shows at the Dog and Parrot.

This week was no exception, our good friends 'The Mephisto Club' were playing tonight.

Here's a photo of Glen, Bassist:
